The Bomonti Brewery, originally established in 1890 by the Bomonti brothers, was Istanbul's first modern beer factory and a significant industrial heritage site. After ceasing operations in 1991, the complex underwent a transformative restoration in 2011. The adaptive reuse project preserved the site's historical essence while repurposing it into "Bomontiada," a vibrant cultural campus. Today, Bomontiada hosts a mix of art spaces, performance venues, eateries, and communal areas, exemplifying a successful blend of heritage conservation and contemporary urban culture.
