Salt Beyoğlu

Salt Beyoğlu is one of the main venues of SALT, a not-for-profit cultural institution in Turkey that engages in research and public programs in the fields of visual arts, architecture, design, and social history.Located on Istanbul’s İstiklal Street in a 19th-century apartment building, Salt Beyoğlu was renovated in 2011. The project preserves the historic character of the stone structure while introducing new architectural elements to support exhibitions, screenings, talks, and public events.

Handam

The Handam Cow Shelter, is part of the Palanga 1888 Art and Architecture Farm in Erzincan, Turkey. This experimental structure consists of two thin, self-supporting concrete domes, each 2.5 cm thick, crafted to withstand the region's harsh climate. The domes incorporate metal powders on their surfaces, allowing them to oxidize over time and reflect the passage of time through evolving textures and colors. The design emphasizes minimal intervention and harmony with the natural landscape, providing a durable and climate-responsive shelter for livestock.
